Some of the silk-screen process on the acrylic display stand has
cracks. Maybe the cracks will not appear immediately right after you have
finished the silk-screen; it may appear later. Why would it happen? The reasons
may as followings.
1. The quality of the material;
The quality of the acrylic board for the acrylic display stand is
one reason. The way to test this is to find another acrylic board that is not
crack when you had silkscreen on it before, then use the same printing ink
(cracked ones used) to this board to see if it crack again.
2. The moisture in the acrylic board;
This is another aspect that will cause crack to the silk-screen. You
can put the acrylic board in the oven (under 65 ℃) for 30 minutes to
roast it so as to lower the moisture of the board. After this, you can do the
silk-screen work.
3. The quality of the printing ink;
This is another aspect that will cause crack. You can use the
printing ink that does not has problem before to do silk-screen test (use
another color), and then you can know if your new painting ink is the reason
caused the crack.
